Salah’s goal brought victory to the Reds
Liverpool not without problems, but got three points in the home match of the 30th round English Premier League against Brighton – 2:1.
The favorite conceded already in the 88th second of the match – Danny Welbeck hit a powerful shot from the rebound. Before the break, the favorite responded only once – Luis Diaz, during the second wave of attack after a corner, successfully avoided offside.
Liverpool scored the winning goal in the middle of the second half. The hosts thoroughly crushed the Seagulls’ defense, and Mohamed Salah, having received the ball from Alexis McAllister, calmly dealt with the goalkeeper.
In the future, Jurgen Klopp’s team could repeatedly increase the score. But it could have been played out – for example, ex-Liverpool player Adam Lallana missed a good chance.
Having scored 67 points, Liverpool have at least temporarily become the sole leaders of the Premier League and are looking forward to the outcome of the rivals’ match. The match between Manchester City and Arsenal starts today at 18:30.
