Kovtalyuk scored his debut goal for Poltava
Dynamo beat on the road with a crushing score Vorskla in the 22nd round match Ukrainian Premier League – 5:1.
The first half in Poltava was a relatively equal fight, but the class of performers had their say. The championship’s top scorer, Vladislav Vanat, opened the scoring, and Vladimir Brazhko doubled it with a low shot past Pavel Isenko.
Then Nikolai Shaparenko scored a double – first, he converted a penalty for a foul on Vanata, and then skillfully threw over the goalkeeper after a pass from Nazar Voloshin. A minute later, Andrei Yarmolenko scored the premier goal in the first match after returning.
Only after this did Vorskla manage to defeat Georgiy Buschan – the debut goal for the new club – and at the same time the debut in the UPL – was scored by Nikolai Kovtalyuk.
Poltava remained in seventh place. Dynamo is fourth, but second in terms of lost points.
