2,800 spectators came to the Vorskla-Dynamo match. This is a record attendance in the UPL since 2021

The previous record was set in the match Veres – Dynamo on March 7

Official attendance of the 22nd round match Ukrainian Premier League between Vorskla And Dynamo (1:5) became a record for the tournament since 2021. According to the referee’s report, the match was attended by 2800 spectators.

It should be noted that this fight ended more than four hours after it began. The meeting in Poltava was interrupted for a long time due to air raid alerts.

The previous attendance record for the 2023/24 season was set quite recently, on March 7, and also with the participation of the capital club. The match of the 20th round of the UPL Veres – Dynamo (1:1) was officially attended by 2,487 fans.

Let us remember that from the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine until 2024, football matches in our country were held in empty stands. Fans have only recently been allowed to attend sporting (not just football) events.

Starting in February, Veres, Polesie, LNZ, Alexandria, Obolon, Shakhtar, Minai and Vorskla announced the admission of fans to their home matches. Dynamo also started holding matches with fans. At the same time, commercial director of SK Dnepr-1 Vyacheslav Fridman criticized this initiative.

Zorya, which is hosting their opponents at the Left Bank stadium, has not yet decided on the issue of admitting fans. Chernomorets is also experiencing difficulties with this due to the increased level of danger in the Odessa region. Increasing Russian shelling forced the KVGA to refuse Obolon admission to spectators for the match with Shakhtar.

Early in the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia fired rockets and aerial bombardment of most Ukrainian cities, and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war against Russia has continued for the 767th day.
