Another milestone under an epoch-making coach who will soon leave his post
Strong-willed victory over Brighton (2:1), won in the 30th round English Premier Leaguebecame for Liverpool 300th in all tournaments led by Jurgen Klopp.
The German specialist took charge of Liverpool in 2015. With him, the Merseysiders won the English League Cup twice (the second time in February of this year, beating Chelsea in overtime), the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Community Shield once each. In the 2018/19 season, Liverpool triumphed in the Champions League, after which they won the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
In eight seasons, Liverpool reached the Champions League final three times under Klopp and the Europa League final once. The coach himself was twice recognized as FIFA coach of the year and twice became coach of the season in the Premier League.
Let us remember that in January the 56-year-old German announced that he would leave the club at the end of the season.
Liverpool are currently leading the Premier League, locked in a title race with Manchester City and Arsenal. The Reds also continue to fight in the Europa League, where they will face Atalanta in the quarter finals. The matches will take place on April 11 and 18.
