The source points out that the bail was paid in exchange for exclusive reporting on Dani Alves’ life at large. The negotiations consisted of producing an interview in the form of a documentary film, which would highlight the story of the legendary footballer.

Dani Alves was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and ordered to pay 150,000 euros to the victim as moral compensation. In January 2023, the Brazilian was accused of raping a 23-year-old girl in a nightclub in Barcelona. Alves was subsequently denied temporary bail on several occasions, with investigators believing the footballer could leave Spanish territory.

Alves was a Barcelona player from 2008 to 2016. With the Catalan superclub, he played 408 matches in all tournaments, became champion of Spain six times and also won the Champions League three times. With the Brazilian national team, the defender won the Copa America and the Confederations Cup twice each.
