Personnel changes are expected on April 9
President of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Ivan Krulko announced candidates for the position of coaches of Ukrainian teams in the 2024/25 season.
Should lead the men’s team Nadezhda Belova. Will work with women Nikolai Zots.
Both candidates must be approved by the FBU Presidium. A press conference on the results of the last season and tasks for upcoming performances will be held on April 9.
Earlier it was reported that the head coach of the Ukrainian men’s biathlon team Juraj Sanitra will leave his position. Zots also worked with the women’s team last season.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, the Ukrainian women’s team moved up one place and took ninth place in the Nations Cup. The blue-and-yellows will be able to field five athletes, just like last season.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, the Ukrainian men’s team took 11th place in the Nations Cup and lost one quota for the World Cup. In the 2024/25 season, the blue-yellows will be able to field a maximum of four athletes.
