The 32-year-old Brazilian is a pupil of Santos
Brazilian forward Neymarwho stands for Al-Hilalannounced his return to Santos.
The transition will take place in 2025. The striker announced his decision after attending the match between Santos and Palmeiras (1:0) in the Paulista League, going into the locker room of his “old-new” club. Communication with the president of the Brazilian club, Marcelo Teixeira, played a big role in the transition.
Neymar is a product of Santos, from where he moved to Barcelona in 2013. Next in his career was Paris Saint-Germain, and last summer the Brazilian moved to Al-Hilal. It was initially reported that he signed a two-year contract, however, according to Brazilian media, the agreement is only for one season.
Currently, 32-year-old Neymar continues to recover from a serious injury he received in a qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup against Uruguay. He was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his knee, as well as anterior cruciate ligament injury. Thus, the current season for Neymar is over. Moreover, he will also miss the 2024 America’s Cup, which will be held from June 20 to July 14 in the USA.
