Novak has been the singles leader for 419 weeks.
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic will set a new singles record this week.
Novak started the reporting week in first place in the ATP rankings. This coming Sunday, April 7, the Serbian will update Roger Federer’s record and, at the age of 36 years and 321 days, will become the oldest world number one in singles.
In total, Djokovic triumphed in 98 events, 24 of which were Grand Slam tournaments. He also has seven Wimbledon triumphs. Novak last year became the first tennis player in history to win at least three times at all four Grand Slam tournaments.
This season, the Serbian has not yet managed to win a single trophy – he lost in the semi-finals of the Australian Open and in the third round of the Masters series event in Indian Wells.
