Point Guard Rajon Rondo announced his retirement from NBA. The 38-year-old basketball player said that he intends to spend more time with his family.
Rondo spent the first part of his career in Boston. Then the defender played for Dallas, Sacramento, Chicago, New Orleans, Atlanta, Lakers and Clippers. Rajon’s last team was Cleveland in 2022. The player did not sign a contract with a club in the last two seasons in the NBA.
During his career, Rondo played in 957 regular season games, averaging 9.8 points, 7.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals. Rajon ranks 15th on the NBA’s all-time assists list with 7,584 assists.
Rondo has won two NBA titles, in 2008 with Boston and in 2020 with the Lakers. The point guard took part in the All-Star Game four times, was a member of the NBA All-Star Team and the NBA Defensive Team.
