Katarina will play against a pair featuring another Ukrainian, Yulia Starodubtseva
Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya reached the second round of the doubles tournament WTA 250 in the capital of Colombia Bogota.
Katarina performs in a duet with Yu Xiaodi from China. In the first round, the pair defeated the tandem Irina Shimanovich / Renata Sarasua in just over an hour. Zavatskaya and Yu gave only three games to their opponents.
In the second round, Katarina will meet with another Ukrainian, Yulia Starodubtseva, who competes with Irina Bara from Romania. In the first round, the tandem beat second seeds Oksana Kalashnikova and Katarzyna Piter.
Let us remind you that Zavatskaya dropped out of the singles tournament in Colombia. In the first round, Katarina lost to Irina Bara, whom she would play against in the doubles tournament.
