Dynamo coach – about the game with Zorya
Head coach Dynamo Alexander Shovkovsky commented on the team’s crushing victory over Zarya (3:0) in the rescheduled match of the 6th round UPL. He also spoke about the play of winger Andrei Yarmolenko and goalkeeper Georgy Buschan.
“Congratulations to all Dynamo fans on the victory! Today, one might say, the game was good for us, and, in principle, I am pleased with the actions of my team. Yes, there were some mistakes, but this is football, there is always something to work on.”
“What happens in the locker room will stay there. You cannot and will not know what we are agreeing on, what tactical developments we have. To a large extent, we did what we agreed on on the field. Of course, we were preparing for our opponent and understood that this would be a completely different game than the one that was just over a week ago.”
“Yarmolenko? We have 24 players on the team, and each of them has the opportunity to start. When Andrei is ready and when we see that it is necessary to start him in the starting lineup, then he will start.”
“Everyone on our team prepares and everyone has the opportunity to take the field. Georgy Bushchan, as well as Ruslan Nesheret, as well as Valentin Morgun, these are the three goalkeepers we are counting on, and who can replace each other at any time and be in the starting lineup. I will never get personal. The only thing that is important to me as a coach is that each player fulfills his direct obligations on the football field. It doesn’t matter to me who scores the goal. I want everyone to score. It is important for me, first of all, that the team implements the goal, delivers the ball into the penalty area, scores goals, and gives positive emotions to our fans.”
“I’m pleased with the mood with which they came out to the game. I’m pleased with the result. But I can’t be completely satisfied, there are always things that can be improved in the game. I think if I’m completely satisfied, I’ll need to end my coaching career, and I’ve just started it.”
Dynamo rose to third place in the UPL, losing two points to Shakhtar and Krivbass. In the next match, Shovkovsky’s team will play against LNZ on April 8.
