Surkis: Shovkovsky does his job well. The team is progressing and gaining momentum

Dynamo President is pleased with the team’s performance and results in recent matches

The president Dynamo Igor Surkis shared his impressions of the team’s performance under the leadership Alexander Shovkovsky, and also commented on the victory over Zorya (3:0) in the postponed match of the 6th round of the UPL.

“The team must progress. Shovkovsky does his job well. We saw this in Poltava and we saw it today – the team is progressing, gaining momentum. It cannot be said that there are only 11 players on the team – everyone plays, everyone gets a chance. The team is in very good shape, so I hope that we will fight for the championship until the last round.”

“Today we see the fruits of our work at the training camp, the team is progressing with every match. This is how it should be in football. As soon as you stop, nothing will happen.”

“I have positive impressions from the match with Zarya. The guys had a 4-hour match in Poltava. They had only a few days to restore their condition. I understand that they are very serious about putting on a strong performance. Today we saw not only the result, but also brilliant football and different tactics. When we took the lead 2:0, we gave the opponent space and caught him on counterattacks. Today there was very high quality football at good speeds. This is how a team must play in order to progress and play in European competitions.”

“We have a long bench. The guys who come on as substitutes have to keep the balance of the game and give others a rest for the remaining 20 or 30 minutes of the game. Today, all the substitutes showed the same quality football as the guys who played in the starting lineup.”

Dynamo rose to third place in the UPL, losing two points to Shakhtar and Krivbass. In the next match, Shovkovsky’s team will play against LNZ on April 8.
