Vernidub’s team let Shakhtar lead
Krivbass tied with Vorskla in the home match of the 23rd round Ukrainian Premier League – 1:1.
Yuri Vernidub’s team took the lead midway through the first half: Daniel Sosa converted a penalty. The guests quickly bounced back thanks to the efforts of Ruslan Stepanyuk.
After the break, Krivbass created several dangerous chances near the Vorskla goal, but one of the UPL leaders failed to achieve victory.
Krivbass takes second place in the UPL. Vernidub’s team is two points behind Shakhtar and two points ahead of Dynamo. At the same time, the Kryvyi Rih team played two more matches than the Miners and the White-Blues.
Vorskla is in 7th position in the standings. The other day, the Poltava team made it to the final of the Ukrainian Cup.
In the next round, Krivbass will play away against Rukh on April 13. Vorskla will host Shakhtar on April 14.
