The Kiev mentor is sure that Dynamo will be able to compensate for the difference in training conditions on the field
Main coach Dynamo Mircea Lucescu attended the press conference before the second leg of the second qualifying round Champions League from Fenerbahce. The mentor believes that the clubs were preparing for the fight in completely different conditions.
“Everyone is well aware of the difference between Fenerbahce and Dynamo. You play at home, we don’t. The Turkish team made a lot of transfers and we lost players. Fenerbahce has fantastic fans, and we are supported mainly by women and children, because the men are fighting the enemy. We don’t have a home – we travel around Europe, while your team has a great training base.
“We are different in many ways. But football does not take into account such things. Everything will be decided on the field.”
“We didn’t play for eight months and we started the first match knowing that Fenerbahce is a good team that has been reinforced by quality newcomers. So we played very carefully.”
“The game in Lodz turned out to be fair. Fenerbahce had more ball control and we could score on the counterattacks.”
“As for fouls, both teams played fairly. In my opinion, the referee was more lenient towards the Fenerbahce players.”
“Jorge Jesus is a good coach with a lot of experience. There will be no underestimation on his part. I am sure that the Turkish team is well prepared.”
“Fenerbahce has replenished with skillful football players. In Dynamo, almost only pupils of the club academy play. We have a good organization of the game. It is not true that they had many opportunities to score in the first leg – only one for Keane. I think the upcoming game will also be more or less even, and everything will be decided on the field.”
Yesterday Dynamo flew from Lodz to Istanbul for the second leg against Fenerbahce. There is no forward Vladislav Supryaga in the list of 24 players.
Recall that yesterday the sale of tickets for the match Fenerbahce – Dynamo started. The minimum cost of a pass for a match is 180 Turkish lira (approximately 370 hryvnia). The cost of tickets to the stands ranges from 180 to 400 Turkish liras (from 370 to 830 hryvnias). The maximum price of a ticket to the VIP box is 3800 lira (about 7870 UAH).
In the first match of the Champions League qualification, the people of Kiev played with Fenerbahce 0:0. The second leg will take place on July 27 in Istanbul at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
