The player stated that he intends to leave the Romans in the summer
The president Lazio Claudio Lotito commented sharply on the statement of the leader of the Romans Luis Alberto.
The 31-year-old Spaniard said he intends to leave the club in the summer. At the same time, Alberto extended the agreement with Lazio until June 2027 in October.
But Lotito does not intend to let the player go for free. According to the club president, Luis should look for a club that will be willing to pay.
“If he wants to leave, he must find a team willing to buy him. I am not crazy. We don’t throw money out the window. He was looking for an extension last summer and is the second highest paid player at Lazio.”
Alberto has been playing for Lazio since 2016. The midfielder played more than 300 matches for the Romans, winning the Italian Super Cup twice and the Coppa Italia once.
This season, Luiz has four goals and eight assists in 39 appearances for Lazio in all competitions.
The Eagles are seventh in the Serie A standings.
