Shovkovsky: They showed fighting qualities, masculine perseverance and responsibility for themselves and their teammate

The capital club beat Krivbass in the standings

Mentor Dynamo Alexander Shovkovsky commented on the victory over Alexandria (1:0) in the 24th round of the UPL.

“I congratulate our fans on their victory. Thanks to our defenders and defenders for the opportunity to host matches. You yourself saw that today there were long breaks due to the air raid, and we all had to go to shelter. Perhaps this played into our hands, given how events happened on the football field.”

“There is a result. We should have scored in the first half when we had excellent opportunities to do so. It’s good that you showed character, fighting qualities, masculine perseverance and responsibility for yourself and your teammate, who received two optional yellow cards.”

“I would like to immediately explain the situation with Neshcheret’s absence from the squad: he had a high temperature, he did not prepare for the game due to an infection. Also, Sirota’s temperature rose yesterday, which is why he was not included in the application either. So don’t look for what isn’t there.”

“Sometimes matches don’t go according to script. This was the fight with LNZ. With a full advantage, we should win and ensure a more comfortable score, but, unfortunately, the mistake affected the result.”

“Today we prepared well for our opponent, we understood how they would play and as a result we could achieve success by showing our strong qualities. We had opportunities to convert the chances we created, but unfortunately we failed to score. Then there was one yellow card, immediately a second – and this turned the game upside down. Then we needed to rebuild, to understand how we could neutralize the opponent’s numerical advantage inside the field. We had to endure, change and look for our chance in counterattacks, which is what I told the guys.”

“During the forced breaks that we had, I assured the team that we would definitely have such an opportunity. And so it happened. I would like to thank the guys for their diligence, fighting qualities and willingness to work for their teammate. This is how matches and not only matches are won.”

At the end of the first half, the Kiev team remained in the minority after Voloshin was sent off. However, the team of Alexander Shovkovsky managed to snatch victory thanks to an accurate strike from Brazhko.

Dynamo rose to second place in the UPL, ahead of Krivbass in additional indicators. In the next round, Dynamo will play against Minaj on April 17.
