Eintracht will not buy van de Beek from Manchester United

Apparently, the midfielder will have to look for a new club in the summer

Midfielder Donny van de Beekacting on lease for Eintrachtwill return to Manchester United.

The German club decided not to activate the buyout option in the amount of 11 million euros (plus three million as bonuses) specified in the agreement. Since the 26-year-old footballer is not needed by Red Devils coach Erik Ten Hag, he will have to look for a new club in the summer. Donnie’s contract with Manchester United expires on June 30, 2025.

In September 2020, Manchester United paid 39 million euros for van de Beek’s transfer from Ajax. This season, the midfielder has played in only two matches (21 minutes) for the Red Devils.

In winter, Eintracht rented the Dutchman until the end of the season, winning a kind of race against Girona. In Frankfurt, van de Beek failed to properly revive his career: only seven matches in the Bundesliga (all incomplete) and zero results.

Eintracht are in sixth place in the Bundesliga. Man United is in seventh position in the Premier League.
