The former legendary football player of the Donetsk club has died at the age of 72.
Legendary former Donetsk Shakhtar defender Viktor Zvyagintsev has passed away. This has been reported Pitmen press office.
Note that Zvyagintsev was a student of Donetsk football. In 1968 he became the USSR youth champion. Since 1970, the football player has played for the Pitmen major team.
He made 175 appearances in the orange jersey in eight seasons. Along with the club, he won the USSR Cup in 1980 and twice the silver medals of the USSR championship (1975, 1979).
The defender was included in the list of the best football players of the season three times, as part of the USSR national team he won bronze medals at the Olympics.
