Cuca returns to Atlético-MG after the three titles in 2021 and says he is focused on his new job, showing that he is not “cracked” by the possibility of coaching the national team

This Tuesday, the technician cuca was presented at a press conference as the new coach of the Atlético-MGand among various topics he spoke about the Brazilian National Team and Titus, who has already confirmed that he will leave the national team at the end of the year and the World Cup. The coach was asked about the possibility of taking on the role and if he would like to have that mission starting next year.

When asked about the possibility of taking the place of Tite, the coach deflected and preferred to show his focus on Galo: “I’m not worried about myself, what it will represent for me in terms of my career. I’m worried about helping Atlético make the end of the year, being the best possible in both competitions”he said.

The Paraná native continued talking about his goals, which according to him, currently do not include selection: “It’s an interesting topic. The position of national team coach is given to whoever has the best performance, who lives a great moment and conquers. That’s what coaches automatically look for in clubs. I’m not obsessed with it”concluded the coach who returns to Galo after the Brazilian titles and the 2021 Copa do Brasil.

After the resignation of the Argentine coach, Antonio MohamedCuca returns to Atlético-MG, where he is considered by many fans to be the greatest coach in history. In addition to last year’s national titles, he also has three state titles in his curriculum and the conquest of the 2013 Copa Libertadores, a competition in which the club is still alive and faces the current two-time champion, palm treesin the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian team continues with Tite in charge until the end of the World Cup.
