Former midfielder for the Russian national team and several Spanish clubs Alexander Mostovoy stipulate that Murad Mousaev does not have the right to train “Krasnodar” since he was not a professional footballer himself.
In mid-March, Krasnodar parted ways with coach Vladimir Ivich and was replaced by Musaev.
– Musaev in Krasnodar – what is it anyway? For what merits did he return to Krasnodar? I don’t understand. Who is he, did he even play football? For me, it’s terrible. What type of attacking football is there? What do football and Musaev have to do with it? “Ivich brought this team together, they were in first place, and now Musaev came and, in fact, lost the championship race,” Mostovoy said in a commentary for RB Sport.
Earlier, Mostovoy used the argument of lack of football experience in relation to coach Guillermo Abascal, who was fired from Spartak on Sunday. Previously, the 35-year-old Spaniard worked at the Seville academy, Swiss clubs Lugano, Basel and Chiasso, Italian Ascoli and Greek Volos. However, Mostovoy said that Abaskal “only knows football from books.”
Mostovoy is currently training to become a coach at the RFU Academy. He says he’s “in the VIP group because, you know, he played football for 25 years.” Mostovoy’s only experience as a coach was in the media league team Fight Nights, with which he took last place in his group and failed to reach the playoffs.
