Roma maintain lead but center backs are left out

Putting aside their fears of Evan Ndichka, Roma returned to training in Trigoria yesterday. Early morning meeting at the Fulvio Bernardini to prepare for tomorrow’s second leg against Milan. The Europa League semi-final is played out after a 1-0 scoreline in the first leg, which today, if maintained, would have allowed the Giallorossi to qualify. For this reason, De Rossi gave the team a day of rest on Monday, maximum attention is needed to complete the tour, and what happened on Sunday evening in Udine significantly shook the spirits of the players. Several hours passed and the emergency situation with Ndichka ended, the players, staff and managers calmed down and returned to work in Trigoria with smiles and concentration. Sardar Azmoun has also partially returned to work in the group, and if yesterday’s good sentiments are confirmed in finishing, the Iranian will be called up, which will give De Rossi more choice in attack. The limited choice essentially revolves around defence: Wasen is not on the UEFA list, Ndichka is unavailable and for this reason Mancini, Smalling and Llorente remain available, with the first two listed to form the centre-back pairing that will have to block the attacks of the Milan fans. Another difficult absence will be that of Cristante in midfield. The Giallorossi number four will be disqualified and Beauvais will play in his place alongside Paredes and Pellegrini.
