The Saudi Football Federation (SAFF) has confirmed the suspension of the Al-Nasr striker. Cristiano Ronaldo reports Mundo Deportivo.
The Portuguese was suspended for two matches and fined 5,500 euros following the Saudi Super Cup semi-final against Al-Hilal.
Ronaldo’s club appealed the decision, but the complaint was dismissed.
On April 9, Al-Nasr lost to Al-Hilal with a score of 1: 2. Ronaldo received a direct red card in the 86th minute of the match. The Portuguese entered into a conflict with opposing defender Renan Lodi, during which he elbowed his opponent. Other players from both teams also took part in the confrontation. The referee sent off Ronaldo, who then threw a punch at him.
This season, Ronaldo has played 37 matches in all competitions, scored 36 goals and made 12 assists.
