Yuri Moroz called up 22 players
The application became known Ukrainian youth football team U-16 (not older than 2008) for the upcoming international tournament Dream Cup 2024which will be held in Japan from June 19 to 23.
Blue-yellow coach Yuri Moroz called 22 players to the training camp. In addition to the Ukrainian and Japanese U-16 teams, national teams of the appropriate age from Senegal and Venezuela will take part in the tournament.
The competition will be hosted by the J-Village arena in Fukuoka. For young Ukrainians, the tournament will be part of their preparation for qualifying for Euro 2025 Youth.
Goalkeepers: Egor Krapivin (Espanyol, Spain), Igor Kostenko (Benfica, Portugal).
Defenders: Arsen Zalipko, Alexey Piskun (both Rukh), Egor Kostyuk, Yaroslav Milokost, Nikita Kalyuzhny (all Shakhtar Donetsk), Alexander Boyko (Ghent, Belgium), Vladimir Umansky (Elche, Spain), Nikita Melnik (Imolese, Italy).
Midfielders: Alexander Balakay (Shakhtar), Pavel Lyusin (Dynamo), Artem Korzh (Dnepr-1), Muhammad Djurabaev, Vladimir Shelepinsky (both Rukh), Ilya Kutya (Hajduk, Croatia).
Forwards: Ivan Andreiko (Dynamo), Alexander Kroitar, Rolan Mustafaev (both Rukh), Artem Zubriy (Shakhtar), Ilya Menshikov (Austria, Austria), Dmitry Zudin (Hajduk, Croatia).
The tournament will be played in one round. In the event of a draw, the penalty kicks will be taken after 90 minutes. The points system is similar to hockey: three for a win in regulation time, two for a win on penalties, one for a loss in a series.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian U-16 national team, like the team a year older, is led by Yuriy Moroz. At the end of February, the specialist was extended in this position by the UAF executive committee.
