The Ukrainian defeated the third seeded Nigina Abduraimova from Uzbekistan in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur made it to the finals of the tournament ITF W50 in a French city Calvi.
The first racket of the tournament met with the third seeded Nigina Abduraimova from Uzbekistan in the semifinals. The intense three-set match lasted almost three hours.
Abduraimova won the first game; the Ukrainian managed to take only one game. In the second set, Daria lost 1:4, then was able to win back a match point and won the tiebreaker. In the decisive game, the Ukrainian won three of her opponent’s serves, losing two of her own, and won the match.
At the tournament in Calvi, in the first round, Daria defeated Yaroslava Bartashevich (6:2, 6:2). In the second round, the Ukrainian triumphed over Gaelle Desperriere from France (6:0, 6:0), after which she dealt with Victoria Kahn (6:3, 6:0). In the final, Snigur will play with the winner of the meeting between Mona Barthel (Germany) and Valentina Rieser (Switzerland).
