Dynamo away beat Fenerbahce and advanced to the next round of Champions League qualification

Karavaev’s goal brought victory to the people of Kiev

In the return leg of the second round of Champions League qualification Dynamo won away after extra time Fenerbahce – 2:1.

The first half went without goals scored. The Turkish team had some good scoring chances and Enner Valencia’s goal was canceled due to a foul.

After the break, Fenerbahce remained in the minority – Ismail Yuksek was sent off for two yellow cards. Dynamo almost immediately took advantage of the numerical advantage: Vitaliy Buyalsky scored a goal in the 57th minute.

In the 70th minute, the home team could have leveled the score, but Georgiy Buschan saved a penalty from Valencia. And a few minutes before the final whistle, Attila Salay moved the game into extra time.

And already in the second overtime, the victory for the people of Kiev was brought by the goal of ex-Fenerbahce football player Alexander Karavaev.

Recall that in the first match the teams played a draw with a score of 0:0. Thanks to this victory, Dynamo will play Austrian Sturm in the third round of Champions League qualification.

Fenerbahce will continue their performance in the Europa League, where they will meet with the Czech Slovacko in the third qualifying round.
