Galtier is a candidate for Milan coach – media

Management “Milan ” included Christophe Galtier on the list of candidates for the position of head coach of the team, reports L’Equipe with reference to La Gazzetta Dello sport.

According to the source, Stefano Pioli, currently at the helm of Milan, will leave his post at the end of the current season. Milan lost to Roma in the Europa League quarterfinals on Friday and ended their participation in the tournament.

Julen Lopetegui and Paulo Fonseca are also being considered for the Rossoneri head coach position.

Galtier has been the coach of Saudi Al-Duhail since October 2023. Previously, the French specialist coached PSG, Nice, Lille, Marseille and Saint-Etienne.

In June, Galtier and his son John Valovich-Galtier were arrested by police in Nice. In April, an email from former Nice sporting director Julien Fournier was published alleging comments made by Galthie against Muslims and black footballers. Law enforcement was investigating the coach for possible “employment discrimination based on perceived race or religion.” The coach himself previously denied all accusations.
