Marta became the vice-champion of the event in Germany
Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk conceded Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan in the final of the tournament WTA 500 in German Stuttgart.
The meeting lasted one hour and 11 minutes. Rybakina successfully took the initiative and did not give up a single game to the Ukrainian during the match, scoring four breaks.
Marta beat three tennis players from the top 10 in the world rankings at the tournament in Stuttgart. In the second round, the Ukrainian beat the fifth seeded Zheng Qingwen (No. 7 WTA) from China. In the quarterfinals, Kostyuk defeated the third racket of the world, Coco Gauff from the USA, and in the semifinals, Marketa Vondrousová from the Czech Republic (No. 8 WTA).
Successful performance at the tournament in Germany brought Marta more than 70 thousand euros in prize money. It is expected that the Ukrainian will also be able to update her personal record in the upcoming edition of the world rankings, taking 21st place.
