Shandruk: There is some disappointment with the result, but overall a draw is logical

Veres’ coach also commented on his reaction to the refereeing

Acting head coach Veresa Oleg Shandruk spoke about his team’s draw match against SK Dnepr-1 (1:1) and my own reaction to some judicial decisions.

“Probably a draw is a natural result. Although I can only make a conscious analysis after watching the game again. But as of now, a draw seems logical.”

“Regarding hopes before the game, we understood that Dnepr-1 had problems with its lineup. They couldn’t count on all the players. And they set the team up, as in every game, to win. There is a certain disappointment. Because we were leading and missed an unnecessary goal. But overall the game was equal, without many scoring chances.”

“Dnepr-1 is a very qualified opponent, which includes national teams. That’s why the game was not easy.”

“Regarding the refereeing, I reacted emotionally to the illogical and, in my opinion, inconsistent decisions of the referee at some points. I don’t see any bias here, but I’m expressing my opinion on certain aspects of the game.”

Let us remind you that the rivals in Rivne parted peacefully. Both goals happened before the break – Vitaly Dakhnovsky scored for the hosts, Vladimir Adamyuk scored for the guests. The Dnepr team’s coach, Yuri Maksimov, also admitted that a draw result was natural.

The draw allowed Veres to rise to 13th place, surpassing Obolon in terms of additional indicators (both teams are in the zone of transition matches). In the next round, Shandruk’s team will play away against Rukh.
