Lunin rejected Real Madrid’s offer to extend his contract

The Ukrainian’s current contract runs until the end of next season.

Ukrainian goalkeeper Real Madrid Andrey Lunin refused to renew his contract with Blancos.

Real offered the player an increase in wages, but Lunin himself believes that he deserves the place of the “first” number and does not want to remain in the reserves after Thibaut Courtois returns to duty. At the same time, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti announced a systematic rotation of goalkeepers for the next season.

Manchester United is closely monitoring the situation with the Ukrainian. The English club is ready to make a more generous offer to the Ukrainian than Real Madrid. Lunin will also be guaranteed a starting spot: his arrival will entail the transfer of Andre Onan.

Lunin has an offer from his current club Real Madrid to extend his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025. Andrey has 28 matches this season (of which 12 were clean sheets) and 25 goals conceded.

With Real Madrid, Andrei won seven trophies, including La Liga, the Champions Cup and the Club World Cup. In addition to Manchester United, PSG and Bayern are also interested in the Ukrainian.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team will play Bayern in the Champions League semi-finals (April 30 and May 7). Real is also leading in La Liga and is close to an early title in the Spanish championship.
