Atalanta put the pressure on Fiorentina in the majority and reached the final of the Italian Cup

The Bergamaschi scored two goals in stoppage time

Atalanta beat on home field Fiorentina in the second leg of the 1/2 finals Italian Cup – 4:1.

Already in the 8th minute, Ten Kopmijners put the Bergamaskis ahead. Five minutes later, Gianluca Scamacca extended Atalanta’s lead, but the goal was overturned after a VAR review.

At the beginning of the second half, the Violets were left with ten men – Nikola Milenkovic received a straight red card. Despite being outnumbered, the guests fought back through the efforts of Lucas Martinez Quarta.

In the 75th minute, Scamacca restored the lead to Atalanta. In stoppage time, accurate strikes from Ademola Lookman and Mario Pasalic brought the final victory to the Bergamasques. Let us remind you that the first match ended with a minimal victory for Fiorentina – 1:0.

In the 2023/24 Coppa Italia final, Atalanta will play against Juventus, which beat Lazio (2:0, 1:2) on aggregate. The decisive match of the tournament is scheduled for May 15.
