Sabo: I advise Rakitsky and Garmash to finish, since they do not suit Shakhtar and Dynamo

Earlier it became known about the interest in Yaroslav on the part of Metalist 1925, who is facing relegation

Former coach of Dynamo and the Ukrainian national team Jozsef Szabo commented on information about interest Metallista 1925 to the defender Shakhtar to Yaroslav Rakitsky.

“Pusic probably didn’t need Yaroslav because he doesn’t play him. Rakitsky is already 34 years old, where should he go back and forth? My opinion is that he should finish playing football and not suffer, since he turned out to be unnecessary for Shakhtar.”

“I’m not sure that he will agree to play in the first league. I repeat, at this age you need to finish.”

“Rakitsky should have thought earlier what to do. It was necessary to go to coaching courses, get a diploma and calmly coach a team in the Second or First League. Maybe he has some other plans, I don’t know.”

“Garmash has the same situation as with Rakitsky. I advise these guys to finish, since they do not suit Shakhtar and Dynamo,” summed up the 84-year-old specialist.

Let us remind you that earlier journalist Andrew Todos reported that the Kharkov club plans to sign Rakitsky in the summer as a free agent. Yaroslav’s contract with the Miners ends in June.

The Shakhtar graduate, who spent a total of 11 years with the first team, is not the main performer in Marino Pusic’s team – 15 matches in all tournaments, two goals and one assist. In October, Yaroslav became the oldest Ukrainian to score in the Champions League.

Shakhtar leads the UPL, four points ahead of Dynamo. Metalist 1925 is in the relegation zone in penultimate place. Since this year, Dynamo legend Denis Garmash has been playing for Viktor Skripnik’s team, which has not won 13 matches already – seven appearances on the field, one goal scored.
