Vitaly was injured in the match with Liverpool
Head coach Everton Sean Dyche shed light on the condition of his ward, a Ukrainian Vitaly Mykolenkowho was injured during yesterday’s derby against Liverpool (2:0).
“Mikolenko is unlikely [сыграет против Брентфорда]. He needs a scan to figure out what’s really there. But at first glance, everything doesn’t look very good. Let’s see how this is resolved.”
Let us remember that during the first half, Vitaly seriously twisted his ankle, but played until the break, and only then was replaced by Ashley Young. Without him, the Toffees held on to their winning score and even managed to double it, delivering what was likely the final blow to their neighbors’ championship ambitions.
Thanks to this victory (the third in four matches), Everton scored 33 points and moved 8 points clear of the relegation zone with four rounds to go.
The day after tomorrow, April 27, Dyche’s team will host Brentford. Let us note that the team for which Ukrainian Yegor Yarmolyuk plays has not yet secured itself from relegation.
