Victory for Moroz’s team was brought by a double from forward Rukh Mustafayev
Ukraine youth football team U-16 (not older than 2008) confidently beat her peers from Estonia in the second round UEFA Development Tournament – 3:1.
The hosts of the tournament (it takes place in Tallinn) conceded two unanswered goals from the Ukrainian youths in the first half – Rukh forward Rolan Mustafaev scored a double.
After the break, Shakhtar defender Yaroslav Milokost made the score big. After some time, the hosts were able to score a prestige goal.
Let us remind you that in the opening round the young Ukrainians played a draw with the Northern Ireland team (2:2), after which they lost in a penalty shootout. With four points, Yuri Moroz’s team takes second place.
To win the tournament, the blue-yellows will need to beat their peers from Luxembourg in the final round. The match will take place on Sunday, April 28, at 11:00 Kyiv time.
This tournament is one of the stages of preparation for Ukrainian youth Euro 2025 qualification, which will take place in the fall of 2024. In June, the Moroz team is scheduled to participate in the Dream Cup 2024 tournament in Japan.
