Olimpika is planning a change of coach
Marseilles identified a current mentor Lille Paulo Fonseca main goal for the summer off-season.
Olympique plans to part ways with Jean-Louis Gasse, who took charge of the team in February. Fonseca is the main task for the club’s management.
Fonseca’s contract with Lille runs until the end of the current season, but there is a possibility that the Portuguese will not renew his agreement with the club. Lyon and West Ham are also considering the coach’s candidacy.
In March it was reported that Shakhtar’s ex-coach was ready to extend his contract with Lille. At the same time, Fonseca was also interested in moving to a club with better financial opportunities. His final meeting with the Dawgs management regarding the new contract is scheduled towards the end of the season.
Lille is in fourth place in Ligue 1, Marseille is in eighth position and risks finding itself outside the European Cup zone at the end of the championship. Gasse’s team also reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will play against Atalanta.
