According to L’Equipe, the incident with the Ukrainian midfielder took place in a match with Dunkirk as part of the 34th round of League 2.
Ignatenko was in the starting lineup in the game and was replaced in the 74th minute. While leaving the field, the Ukrainian allegedly threw the words “black pussy” at defender Alyoun Ba. It literally translates as “black pussy”, but the slang word is “black p***a”, or “black tyukhtiy”.
Ba immediately complained to the referee, who recorded the incident in the protocol, and Dunkirk appeal to the disciplinary committee.
If the footballer’s guilt is proven, the Ukrainian case can be brought to court. Bordeaux also promised to punish Ignatenko if he is found guilty.
The verdict in the racism scandal is expected to be delivered on May 16.
Note that this season was spent by Ignatenko Bordeaux 32 matches in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
