Athletistic/Football. French midfielder Paul Pogba is at risk of missing the World Cup in Qatar.

The Frenchman was diagnosed with a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee after a sprain while training in Los Angeles. Initially, he was due to undergo surgery in the United States, but instead Pogba returned to Italy on Wednesday.

There are 2 approaches to this injury and one of them could see him miss the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The first option is to remove part of the meniscus, due to which Pogba will fly away for 1.5-2 months. However, this option is believed to be more suitable for younger players, as it can affect knee mobility.

The second option is to stitch up the injury which would see Pogba miss 4-5 months and not play for France at the 2022 World Cup.

Juventus have a good transfer campaign, but in a year they will have to start again
