“No one promised anything to anyone”: Zinchenko on his role at Arsenal

The Ukrainian is ready to work hard to earn a place in the team.

Ukrainian midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko has moved to Arsenal from Manchester City.

According to the player, he should get a place in the team’s starting lineup.

“No one promised anyone. It all depends on me, how I present myself in training, in matches. If I deserve to play, I will play. If I’m not worthy, I won’t.”

Zinchenko spoke about the conversation in which Arteta shared his view of the Ukrainian’s position on the field.

“The main position he chose for me was left. But there may be games in which I am involved as a central midfielder. I can’t say anything.

The season will be very long. We play in four competitions – two cups, the Premier League and the Europa League. Therefore, there will be many matches, and I still don’t know where the head coach will see me,” said Zinchenko in an interview on Vlad Sedan’s YouTube channel.

It was earlier reported that Zinchenko had bid adieu to Manchester City before moving to Arsenal.
