The match ended with Inter winning 4:1. Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi scored two goals and an assist, setting two new MLS records. He has 16 points (9+7) in goal+assist, which is the most of any MLS player through the first seven matches of the season. Messi also became the first MLS player to score points in five consecutive matches.
