The Ukrainian U-19 national team has named its squad for the home training camp

On April 30, Dmitry Mikhailenko’s team will hold a sparring match against Dinaz

Head coach Ukrainian national team U-19 (football players not older than 2005) Dmitry Mikhailenko announced the team composition for the short-term home training camp. The list included 18 football players.

As part of the training camp, the Ukrainian youth team will play one test match. On April 30, Mikhailenko’s team will play against Dinaz, kick-off at 12:00.

Goalkeepers: Vladislav Krapivtsov (Dnepr-1), Markiyan Backus (Rukh);

Defenders: Vladislav Zakharchenko (Dynamo), Daniil Garazha (Dnepr-1), Egor Potapenko (Metalist 1925), Daniel Vernattus, Egor Abramov (both Metalist);

Midfielders: Kirill Osipenko (Dynamo), Maxim Melnichenko (Dnepr-1), Arthur Shah (Karpaty), Nazariy Turko (Rukh), Samuel Obinaya, Matvey Panchenko (both Metalist 1925), Ilya Kaplunov (Krivbass);

Forwards: Ramik Gadzhiev (Dnepr-1), Alexander Fetko, Vadim Sidun (both from Karpaty), Artem Gusol (Kolos).

In July, the Ukrainian national team will play at the 2024 European Youth Championship. Mikhailenko’s team ended up in Group A, where its opponents will be Northern Ireland (the hosts of the tournament), Norway and Italy.

Two teams from each quartet will advance to the semi-finals. In addition, since the continental championship will simultaneously serve as a UEFA selection for the 2025 World Cup (U-20), the teams that take third place in their groups will compete for the fifth ticket to the World Cup from Europe. The final match of the 2024 U-19 European Championship will take place on July 28.
