Botafogo coach, Artur Jorge highlighted the importance of living ‘game after game’; Alvinegro beat Flamengo and took the top of the table
Last Sunday, 28th, Botafogo de Arthur Jorge achieved a great feat this season. Alvinegro defeated Flamengo as a visitor, at Maracanã, with a score of 2-0, and took the provisional leadership of the Brasileirão 2024. Despite the achievements, the commander preached a more measured stance when analyzing the scenario.
“Victory for me is important no matter who it is. It’s one more game to win. For me, there’s no more to it than that. I understand that for the fans it may be bigger because of the rivalry, but we only won one more game. We have a lot to do in terms of team development. But also what the championship is in which we will have other games as difficult as this one”preached Artur Jorge.
It’s work, it’s the commitment of the athletes. We had a more balanced first half, but we didn’t give the opponent any chances. They had more of the ball, but without much work for our goalkeeper. We seek a balance of commitment and performance. If we have results, even better. It’s what leads us to success.”
