Athletistic/Football. Russian Football Union (RFU) President Alexander Dyukov shared his opinion on the current state of the Russian Premier League. According to him, the level of the League and clubs remains stable and football in Russia continues to develop and become more intense.

“I don’t think we’ve seen a drop in the level of the league and the teams. To draw conclusions, it is necessary to compare our clubs with competitors from other countries in international competitions. Arena, our clubs still play friendly matches with teams from other countries, and these matches show that our clubs remain competitive.

From my observations, there was definitely no fall. In the RPL we see a lot of interesting players and exciting matches. From the point of view of the dynamics and intensity of the game, our football continues to develop,” Dyukov said, as quoted by RB Sport.
