Athletistic/Football. Zenit extended the agreement with the team’s coach Sergei Semak until the summer of 2030. This was stated by the chairman of the club’s board of directors, Elena Ilyukhina.
“An agreement in principle has been reached with Semak to extend the contract until May 2030,” said the Saint Petersburg club.
Semak has been coaching Zenit for six years. The current contract expires in summer 2025.
Previously, Zenit suffered two consecutive defeats in the 2023/24 Russian Championship. The team lost to Rubin (0:2) and Dynamo (0:1).
Before that, St. Petersburg, under the leadership of Semak, won the RPL five times in a row.
