Juventus intends to part ways with Pogba, Milik, Alex Sandro and Rugani in the summer

The departure of these four will allow the Zebras to relieve their payroll by more than 20 million euros

Juventus is going to seriously clean up the payroll next summer, in connection with which the club intends to part with a number of highly paid players – such as Paul Pogba, Alex Sandro, Arkadiusz Milik And Daniele Rugani.

Turin residents, who have recently suffered from various sanctions, continue their policy of cutting costs. This is especially relevant in light of the fact that Juve’s current salary fund is the highest in Serie A. It reaches 126 million euros per year. Newly crowned champion Inter is in second place with 119.5 million.

The first and most obvious move is to part ways with Paul Pogba, who was banned for four years for doping in February. His net salary is 8 million euros.

No less logical is the departure of 33-year-old Alex Sandro (salary – 6 million), who this season only entered the field 17 times and did not perform effective actions. It was previously reported that the club intends to extend the contract with the Brazilian for another season, but age, injuries and a difficult financial situation dictate more stringent conditions.

Two more candidates for exit are Daniele Rugani and Arkadiusz Milik, who earn 3.5 million euros per year. The 29-year-old defender quite clearly fell out of the starting lineup – only 16 appearances on the field, albeit with three goals scored. The 30-year-old Pole’s playing experience is fine (31 matches), but he has scored only three times in Serie A – one goal more than Rugani.

The problem could be Arkadiusz’s contract, which he extended until 2026 last summer. The agreement with Daniel expires on June 30.

An additional incentive for the Old Lady to lighten the payroll is a potential blow from Cristiano Ronaldo. Let us remind you that the Portuguese star recently won a court case that ordered Juve to pay its ex-footballer almost 10 million euros. However, the club is going to appeal the verdict, and the appeal could drag on for months.

Juventus did not participate in European competitions this season due to suspension for old financial sins. In the championship, the Zebras are in third place, five points behind Milan with four rounds to go.
