Modric, 38, entered the field as a substitute. In this list, he is only surpassed by former Milan defender Paolo Maldini, who played in the semi-finals at the age of 38 years and 302 days, as well as former Milan defender Alessandro Costacurta. He participated in the semi-final at the age of 40 years and 2 days.
