The agreement will be valid until the summer of 2028
Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrey Lunin and Madrid Real close to extension contract. The new agreement will run until the summer of 2028.
The parties also agreed to increase wages, which in the new contract will correspond to Lunin’s current status in Real Madrid. Andrey’s current agreement with the Madrid club expires in the summer of 2025.
Earlier, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti announced a systematic rotation of goalkeepers for the next season, given the successful play of Lunin and the recovery from injury of main goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
This season, Lunin won the fight against Kepa Arrizabalaga for a place in Real Madrid’s starting lineup. The Ukrainian played 29 matches for Blancos in all tournaments, missed 27 goals and kept 12 clean sheets.
Real are confidently leading the Spanish championship. In the first match of the 1/2 finals of the Champions League, Blancos drew away with Bayern – 2:2.
