Athletistic/Football. Former Spartak Moscow head coach Dmitry Alenichev shared his opinion on Red and White striker Manfred Ugalde.

“I would like in the future Spartak not only to talk about its preparation for the championship race, but to act accordingly. It is necessary to make some changes in the composition, to review some things and to strengthen in key positions the tips will probably not be taken into account, but I would like to see a creative player in the center of the field, at one time these players were Andrei Pyatnitsky, Egor Titov, Alex and Fernando Si. Spartak can find such a player, it will be a serious step towards achieving high results.

Reinforcement is necessary in both defense and attack. Given that I think Promes can be finished, there needs to be a significant improvement from the forward line. Despite the fact that Spartak spent money on Ugalde, zero goals in the RPL is not an acceptable result. We counted on it, we paid for it. We can talk about a period of adaptation, but these are excuses for the weak. A player worth 13 million must score at least five or six goals in ten RPL matches. Unfortunately, Ougalde has not yet achieved this,” Alenichev said in an interview with the “Championship” correspondent.

In the current season of the Russian Championship, 21-year-old Manfred Ugalde went eight matches without scoring a goal.
