The Crusaders will play in the elite division for the first time since the 2020/21 season
Parma played away to a draw with Bari (1:1) in the 36th round of Serie B and advanced to the elite division of the Italian championship ahead of schedule – Serie A.
The Crusaders, led by Fabio Pecchia, lead Serie B two rounds before the end of the championship and have guaranteed themselves a place no lower than second. Parma is three points ahead of second place Como and seven points ahead of third place Venice.
Parma will play in Serie A for the first time since the 2020/21 season. Then the team took last place in the standings, gaining 20 points (3 wins and 11 draws) after 38 rounds.
Earlier, Salernitana lost their chances of retaining their place in the elite division ahead of schedule and were relegated to Serie B.
