Amaral immediately rejected Cherchesov’s candidacy. The athletic director said it was his decision. As for Karpin and Jansen, they are not on the lists either.
“Cherchesov is not on the list of candidates. It’s my decision. He is not on the list either. Pascal Jansen is not on the list either.” .
When asked if former Krasnodar head coach Vladimir Ivich was on that shortlist, Amaral responded with a curt “Yes.”
Earlier, the sports director of Spartak noted that the list of candidates also included Vladimir Slishkovich, who currently acts as the team’s head coach. Under his leadership, the red and white confidently reached the final of the “Path of Regions” of the Russian Cup.
