Maksimov will leave Dnepr-1 if Krivbass loses

The coach made a radical decision

Mentor Dnepra-1 Yuri Maximov may leave his post. The coach will announce his resignation if the Dnieper team loses in the next UPL match with Krivbass.

“I actually told the guys that if we don’t beat Krivbass, then I will leave the team. This is true. A little later, perhaps, I’ll be ready to talk in more detail. There are no more comments now,” Maksimov emphasized.

The coach took charge of Dnepr-1 in September last year, replacing Alexander Kucher. Also in Ukraine, Maximov headed CSKA, Obolon, Krivbass, Donetsk Metallurg, Vorskla and Zvyagel. At the head of the Azerbaijani Keshli, he won the country’s Cup.

Now Dnepr-1 is in fourth place in the UPL. The Dnipro team have a streak of four matches in a row without victories.

The match of the 27th round between Dnepr-1 and Krivbass will take place on Monday, May 6. The game starts at 13:00.
