In the episode of the fall of Vladimir Brazhko in the fight with Eduard Sarapiy, it was recommended not to record a foul and a penalty
Committee of Referees of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) commented on some controversial episodes of the last rounds of the Ukrainian Premier League.
In the match Shakhtar — Zarya (2:1) in the 25th round of the UPL, referee Alexander Kalenov correctly sent off goalkeeper Alexander Saputin in the 89th minute for a foul against Miners forward Daniil Sikan. The violation was severe and was characterized as “disruption of an obvious scoring opportunity.”
In another episode, which occurred in the 83rd minute of the match, the Committee confirmed the referee’s decision not to call a foul. Defender Dmitry Mishnev in this situation was in his own playing space when Marlon crashed into him. The referee rightly continued the game without calling a foul.
In a duel Dnepra-1 and Dynamo (1:2) in the 26th round, referee Yuri Ivanov correctly showed a red card to Alexander Tymchik, calling a foul for kicking the opponent from behind without the opportunity to play the ball. In the episode with the fall of Vladimir Brazhko in the fight against Eduard Sarapia, the referee did not record a violation. The committee confirmed the correctness of Ivanov’s actions, since the Dynamo player slipped and lost his balance without the influence of the Dnepr-1 defender.
Shakhtar leads the UPL, four points ahead of Dynamo. The miners will play their second match in a row against Chernomorets on May 5. Dynamo will host Kolos on the same day.
